Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library tells the fascinating story of the determined people who laid the foundation for the future state of Oklahoma through artifacts, photographs, and paintings. The Oklahoma Territorial Museum features artifacts and documents of the 1889 Land Run and settlement of Guthrie, the first capital of Oklahoma. Living history performances and hands-on educational programs are available by appointment. A wealth of genealogy information can be found at the Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library. Some of the records on file include a database of marriage records from 1890-1906, as well as a record of all burials in Logan County. Visitors can also search a collection of early Oklahoma files or local history on microfilm.
